1. Service Agreement
D & R Energy Ltd provides solar panel installation, battery storage installation, EV charger installation, and related renewable energy services. These Terms apply to all services provided by us, together with any specific terms set out in your individual quotation or contract.
A binding contract between you and D & R Energy Ltd is formed when you accept our quotation in writing (including by email) and pay the required deposit. The contract comprises these Terms, the accepted quotation, and any supplementary documentation provided.
2. Quotations
- All quotations are provided free of charge and without obligation following a site survey or desktop assessment
- Quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated
- Quotations are based on the information available at the time of the survey. If site conditions differ from those assessed, we reserve the right to revise the quotation accordingly
- Prices include VAT at the prevailing rate. Residential solar panel and battery storage installations currently qualify for 0% VAT under the UK government Energy Technology Criteria
- Any additional works not included in the original quotation will be quoted separately and require your written approval before proceeding
3. Deposits and Payment
- A deposit is required upon acceptance of the quotation to secure your installation date. The deposit amount will be specified in your quotation
- The remaining balance is due upon completion of the installation unless alternative payment terms have been agreed in writing
- We accept payment by bank transfer and card payment
- If payment is not received within 14 days of the due date, we reserve the right to charge interest at 4% above the Bank of England base rate per annum on the outstanding amount
4. Installation

- On completion, we will provide you with all relevant documentation, including MCS certificates, warranty documents, DNO notifications, and handover documentation
5. Grid Connection and DNO Notification
- We will submit the necessary notifications to your Distribution Network Operator (DNO) on your behalf as part of the installation process
- Grid connection approval is at the discretion of the DNO. In rare cases where the DNO requires additional works or refuses connection, we will advise you of your options

6. Warranty
Workmanship Warranty
We provide a workmanship warranty covering our installation labour for a period specified in your quotation (typically 10 years). This covers defects in installation that arise under normal use and does not cover damage caused by third parties, extreme weather events, or modifications made by others.
